Brief Description Of  The NNPC-SNEPCo National University Scholarship 2023

The Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited and its Co-venture partners hereby invites applications from qualified Nigerian students for the 2023 NNPC-SNEPCo National University Scholarship Programme.

The programme aims at promoting academic excellence and improving the skills of young Nigerians. It provides yearly grant to the successful applicants from their second year to the completion of their undergraduate degree programme.

NNPC/SNEPCo 2022 Scholarship Eligibility/Requirements

Students applying for NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship 2023 should meet the following requirements to stand a chance to be selected for the award:

Eligibility

• Be a Nigerian citizen.
• Currently be in their second year of full-time study in a Nigerian University accredited by the NUC.
• Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 in a 5-grade system or the equivalent in other grade systems; and
• Not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship from an entity in the oil and gas industry, National or International.
• Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• All applicants should have personal valid email account and phone number (for consistent communication.)
• Application MUST be received not later than the specified deadline via the scholarship portal ONLY.
• Only candidates that meet the eligibility criteria will be invited for the monitored computer-based test.
• Only the top 10 candidates will be shortlisted from each of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory for academic verification prior to scholarship offer.
• Candidates with falsified results will be disqualified.
• Only candidates that have successfully satisfied the above criteria will be contacted to receive the scholarship award.
• All scholars must maintain a minimum of 3.5 CGPA per session, in a 5-grade system or the equivalent in other grade systems, to sustain the award.
• Ensure you have clear scanned copies of the following documents for upload:

1. Passport photograph with white background not more than 3 months old (450px by 450px not more    than 200k.)
2. School ID card.
3. University or JAMB (UTME or D/E) Admission letter.
4. JAMB Result.
5. Academic result at the end of your first year.
6. Letter of Identification from State (Showing Local Government of Origin.)

How To Apply For The NNPC/SNEPCo National Undergraduate Scholarship 2023

Follow these steps to successfully apply for the NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship 2023:

1. Visit NNPC/SNEPCo scholarship portal via www.candidate.scholastica.ng
2. Click on “APPLY NOW”
3. Click on “REGISTER NOW” to create an account
4. Proceed to your email box to activate your account
5. Click on the link on your email to return to the scholarship site
6. Enter your registered email and password to upload your information
7. Enter your  personal information; National Identity Number (NIN), educational information, other information, and upload required scanned documents
8. Ensure the name used in application matches the names on all documentation in the same order. Upload a sworn affidavit or certificate if otherwise
9. Ensure you view all document after uploading, to make sure that they are clear and accurate
10. When asked to upload photo, use a passport photograph with a white background
    Recheck application information to avoid errors
11. Click on “APPLY NOW” to submit information
     You will receive an email and a SMS that confirms your application was successful
12. Return to www.candidate.scholastica.ng, enter your email and password to download your profile and proceed to have your Head of Department (HOD) sign the document
13. Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile, this would be used for verification
14. Multiple application attracts a disqualification penalty from the scholarship board

Deadline For The Scholarship

The deadline for NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship 2023 is out.

The online application portal opens on 6 March and closes 14 April 2023.

This means that, applications should be submitted on or before 14 April 2023. Applications after this deadline will not be accepted by the scholarship board.
