The independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) staff training of election officials for the 2023 General Election is ongoing. INEC shortlisted candidates training is taking place at the Local and State Governments currently.
However, the commission in a letter dated 5 February 2023 reiterated that all necessary logistics needed for the smooth running of the training have been released to States. Officials are urged to turn up for the training to be equipped for the job.
Meanwhile, the commission through The Electoral Institute (TEI) trained Supervisory Presiding Officer (SPO) on 11 – 12 February 2023.

INEC have set 14 – 16 February 2023 as the official training date the training of Presiding Officer (PO) and Assistant Presiding Officer (APO).
This also mean that the commission has fixed 2 days for the training of PO/APO. If you belong to the above categories, and qualify for the training report at the training centres.

Below is the official date for the training of Election Officials under the category of Collation and Returning Officers:
INEC have set 21 – 22 February 2023 as the official training date the training of Collation Officer (CO) and Returning Officers (RO).
This also mean that the commission has fixed 2 days for the training of CO/RO. If you belong to the above categories, and was shortlisted for the training report at the training centres.
Requirements For INEC Adhoc Staff Training 2023
Below are the documents require for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) adhoc training shortlisted candidates are to come with to the training centre:
- NYSC Discharge Certificate.
- Screening Chit.
- Call Up Letter and NYSC ID.
- ID Crad and / or Letter of Admission.
- Appointment Letter from current Employer, and / or past Promotion Letter.
